1. Map Control & Positioning
Take Early Ground: Secure key areas (mid-points, high ground, choke points) as soon as the round starts. This forces opponents into predictable routes.
Use Vision Tools: Send a scout or utility (flash, smoke) to gather info on enemy rotations before committing.
Anchor and Rotate: Assign one or two players as anchors in safekeep positions while the rest of your team swings to retake or flank.
2. Economy & Resource Management
Track Team Funds: Keep an eye on your teammates’ budgets and plan buys as a unit—avoid half-buy rounds that leave you under-gunned.
Smart Saving: In eco rounds, focus on pistols or SMGs and invest in utilities (smoke, flash) to maximize your chance for multi-kills and weapon drops.
Force Round Tactics: When you have a small lead, intentionally “force buy” one round to break the opponent’s economy chain—timing is everything.
3. Communication & Callouts
Standardized Callouts: Use concise, agreed-upon map names (“A Main,” “B Site,” “Connector”) so everyone’s on the same page.
One-Way Information: Always report what you see, not what you think (e.g. “Two mid, one dropped cat” vs. “They’re heading A”).
Role-Based Updates: Let the IGL (in-game leader) handle overarching strategy calls, while entry fraggers and support relay immediate threats or openings.
4. Practiced Set-Plays & Utility Usage
Execute Scripts: Rehearse smoke/flashes combinations for every site—knowing exactly where to stand and when to throw saves precious seconds.
Adaptive Variation: Have two or three variations of the same A-site execute so you stay unpredictable if the opponent recognizes one pattern.
Post-Entry Utility: Reserve a molotov or HE grenade after planting/entry to block rotations and buy time for defuse or map control.
5. Mental Preparedness & Adaptability
Pre-Match Routines: Develop a consistent warmup ritual (aim drills, team huddle) to get into “focus mode” before you step on LAN stage.
Momentum Management: If you lose a big round, call a quick timeout or reset—use calming breath or short team chant to shake off tilt.
Live Analysis: Designate one player (analyst role) to note opponent tendencies (stack patterns, utility usage) for mid-match strategy tweaks.
